Originally from Aurora, IL, Jason earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami in 2006.  Since 2010, Jason has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Athletic Development for IMPACT PERFORMANCE, which was founded in Boca Raton, FL.  1000’s of athletes have came through the doors of IMPACT, both in Boca and Buffalo, and experienced the high level programming each facility offers.  Early in Jason’s career, he was employed by the University of Miami and responsible for rehabilitating Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes from various sports including football, track and field, and volleyball.  The highlight of Jason’s time at the “U” was serving as a Core Training specialist for the track and field program as well as working with numerous alumni from the NFL and MLB.  Jason is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).

Taylor Sexton

Originally from North Tonawanda, NY, Taylor has been coaching at Impact Performance since 2015. Taylor gained division 1 coaching experience with football, crew and track and field before graduating from SUNY Buffalo. Over the past three years at Impact, Taylor has helped physically prepare youth, college and professional athletes from every sport WNY has to offer. In addition, he has helped numerous corporate athletes achieve their fitness and health goals.

Michaela Seckarova

ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST


Originally from New Jersey, Michaela earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from Kean University. She is currently working on becoming a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Prior to joining the IMPACT Sports Performance Staff, Michaela worked at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex as a Certified Athletic Trainer. In addition, she has prior experience with coaching a wide variety of clientele while focusing on movement performance and injury prevention.

Tyler Perna

Originally from West Seneca, NY, Tyler graduated from the College of Brockport in May 2017 with a dual degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology.  Tyler joins our staff as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach specializing in long-term athletic development of adolescent athletes. He received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification in May of 2017.  Tyler quickly put his skills to good use earning an internship with the University of Buffalo football team.  Tyler also completed an undergraduate internship with IMPACT Performance landing him an opportunity with the staff immediately out of school.  Tyler is currently enrolled as a graduate student at Canisius College in pursuit of his Masters in Physical Education.

Eric Madia

Originally from Grand Island, NY, Eric graduated from D’Youville College earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science.  Eric is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Performance Enhancement, Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Science from California University of Pennsylvania’s online program.  While excelling in his undergraduate studies, Eric was also a student athlete, playing both hockey and rugby at the collegiate level. Eric joins our staff as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach specializing in adult and youth fitness.  Professional opportunities have included leading Amherst High School’s Strength and Conditioning program, as well as coaching track and field at St. Peter’s. Previously Eric also worked as a performance specialist and training manager for Fierce Fitness overseeing staff exercise programs and company compliance.  Eric is a proud supporting member of the NSCA.

Kevin Phengthavone

Originally from Medford, NY, Kevin earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Buffalo.  Kevin joins our staff as an assistant sports performance coach specializing in Olympic sports.  While at UB, Phengthavone was a four-year member of the school’s lacrosse team which made it to the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League playoffs all four years, including two runs to the national tournament.  Kevin’s scholastic abilities landed him  the opportunity to serve as a strength and conditioning intern and volunteer with the Bulls during his time at the program.  The last two years, Phengthavone has worked for the Buffalo State College athletic department highlighted by assignments with the men’s and women’s hockey teams, men’s basketball and football.  Previous opportunites for Kevin have also included internship experience with the Buffalo Sabres and Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training (IFAST).

Originally from Buffalo, NY Viron graduated from Buffalo State College earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Wellness with a concentration in Adult Fitness. While excelling in his undergraduate studies, Viron was also a student athlete, playing both football and track and field at the collegiate level. Viron earned his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University. During his time at Shenandoah University, Viron completed clinical rotations at the high school and collegiate levels. Viron joins our staff as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach specializing in adult and youth fitness. Professional opportunities have included being the Head Athletic Trainer at Amherst High School, as well as a Exercise Specialist at Excelsior Orthopedics. Viron is a proud member of National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
